Dozens of scarecrows will form a trail through Bolton-le-Sands and Hest Bank later this month in a fundraiser for a local hospice.
The trail, which has a Halloween theme, will take place from October 22 and 29, and has so far raised almost £700 for St John’s.
Local residents have been encouraged to enter a scarecrow for a donation, with around 60 taking part in the event.
The best scarecrows as voted for by the public will win a prize donated by local businesses, and in addition, The Royal are setting up a Halloween grotto to add to the fundraising activity.
You can donate here and find more information about the trail here, where in due course details including a full trail map will be published.
