Firefighters tackle derelict building fire in Lancaster

Firefighters have tackled a derelict building fire in Lancaster.

Four fire engines from Lancaster and Morecambe were called to Quernmore Road at 2.21pm on Sunday March 2.

The derelict building was well alight, said a Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.

"Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire," said the spokesperson.

"Crews were in attendance for approximately four hours."
