Fire crews rescue horse stuck in mud in Morecambe

A team of fire officers has rescued a horse which became stuck in mud in Morecambe.

Two fire engines from Morecambe and Garstang, a water rescue unit from Fleetwood, and a rope rescue unit from St Annes were called to Hadrian Road at 11.28am on Sunday.

Firefighters used small tools and lines to free the horse from mud, in a rescue operation that took around an hour.
