A popular health food retailer will open a new store inside a former card shop in Lancaster.

Grape Tree is set to open inside the former Clintons cards on Penny Street.

Grape Tree, which has announced plans to expand by opening new stores across the UK, sells a range of health foods and wellbeing products both in-store and online.

The company uses the tagline 'Feel Good Foods' and says it's the "fastest growing name in health and wellbeing" with more than 100 shops across the country.

A sign in the window of the former Clintons says: "We are recruiting" and is advertising for a store manager and sales assistants "in this location". See below.

It was recently reported by 'The Grocer' that Grape Tree was embarking on an "ambitious UK expansion plan".

Clintons closed at the Penny Street location (below, pictured on Tuesday) earlier this month.

Nick Shutts, Grape Tree founder, said: “We are delighted to be opening on Penny Street.

“We are looking forward to bringing our Grape Tree feel good food message to Lancaster and to welcoming new faces into the store.”
