The Caton Gala takes place on Saturday, May 21st.
The Gala hasn’t been held since 2019 due to the Covid pandemic, but preparations are now well underway for the event, which this year takes place at a new location of Elm Grove Field.
The theme this year is "The Circus" and there will be performances from Lancaster University Magic and Circus Society, as well as a parade with children taking part from local primary schools, local Cubs and Brownie groups.
Other attractions include a dog show, vintage motorbike show, fairground rides, candy floss and doughnuts, face painting, hair braiding and glitter tattoos.
There's a beer tent and a burger bar, stalls from local bakers and small businesses, while Events by All Occasions will be hosting the artisan marquee guaranteeing fantastic stall from talented traders selling handmade goods.
Clare Lyden, from the Caton Gala Committee, said: ‘’After the annual gala not taking place for the previous two years, everyone is incredibly excited and would love to see people coming along on the day from near and far!
‘’Whether you've been before or never heard of it you won't be disappointed with everything planned!’’
The event starts at 11:30am. Entry is £5, with under 16s admitted free.
