The date when shoppers will be able to buy the new Monopoly game based on Lancaster has been revealed.
The MONOPOLY: Lancaster board game will hit the shops on October 24.
It was announced in February that Lancaster would be getting its own version of the popular property game.
MONOPOLY: Lancaster Edition will feature more than 30 Lancaster landmarks to replace the famous London Monopoly streets such as Mayfair and Park Lane.
Chance and Community Chest cards are being themed as well.
The game is being produced by Winning Moves under license from toy and games giants Hasbro.
Residents were asked to vote for their favourite landmarks from the city and the surrounding area to feature on the board.
Popular suggestions included Lancaster Castle, the Ashton Memorial, The Dukes and the Judges' Lodgings.
The public was also asked to nominate three local charities to appear on the game's three Community Chest spaces.
As of yet the final make-up of the board has not been announced.
The official announcement about the Lancaster Monopoly edition was made at the Memorial earlier this year, when the game's mascot Mr Monopoly paid a visit (see below).

The makers of the brand-new official MONOPOLY: Lancaster Edition game are searching for a VIP, who will receive the very first game to roll off the presses, which will be specially signed at the game’s launch later this year.
All entrants under VIP consideration are asked to describe ‘Why I love Lancaster’ in 25 words or less.
Poems, ditties and even one-liners will all be equally considered.
“The most inventive and creative entry will win,” said Ella Gibbs from the game’s makers Winning Moves UK.
You can enter via VIP@6starpr.co.uk Entries are invited from today until September 30.
