Fallen trees were blocking roads and trains were cancelled as Storm Eunice battered the Lancaster and Morecambe district on Friday.
Coulston Road in Lancaster was blocked on Friday afternoon after a tree came down in high winds.
Police warned the public to avoid the area.
"We are receiving multiple calls of a similar nature," said a statement on the Lancaster Area Police Facebook page.
"It's dangerous out here and getting worse. Stay safe!"

"We hope everyone is OK," said a statement on the Royal Facebook page.
"If guests need to cancel bookings, please just let us know and keep safe until the weather clears.
"Spoken to the tree surgeon taking the tree down and the road will be shut for at least 3-4 hours. Possibly longer. Our kitchen is now closed for the day."
All Avanti West Coast trains have been cancelled for the rest of Friday after multiple weather-related incidents. Trains between Morecambe, Bare Lane and Lancaster have also been cancelled.
Around 620 homes in Claughton have been affected by a power cut.
Earlier, the emergency services worked to secure flying debris in the Dalton Square/Great John Street area of Lancaster city centre.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet say the 7:45pm Isle of Man to Heysham service and the 2:15am Heysham to Isle of Man sailing will both run as scheduled.
