Crews tackle derelict building fire on Lancaster quayside

Fire crews have been dealing with a blaze at a derelict building on an industrial estate in Lancaster.

The alarm was raised shortly before 1:55pm today (September 21), with four fire engines from Lancaster, Morecambe and Bolton-le-Sands, along with the aerial ladder platform from Morecambe and the stinger appliance from Skelmersdale, attending the derelict building fire on Lune industrial estate, on New Quay Road.

The blaze has been tackled using four jets, one hose reel, four breathing apparatus units, one aerial ladder platform and a stinger.

Crews remain in attendance.
