Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire on the M6 near Lancaster.
Three fire engines from Lancaster and Garstang were called at 1pm on Saturday May 10.
The vehicle was on the hard shoulder of the M6 North motorway between junctions 33 and 34.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters extinguished the fire using one hose reel and two breathing apparatus.
"Crews were in attendance for approximately 40 minutes."
