Clinic where students offer free legal advice to reopen at Lancaster University

The Lancaster University Law Clinic reopens later this month

A clinic in Lancaster where university students offer free legal advice to the public will open later this month.

Lancaster University Law Clinic opens on Monday, November 17 and provides face-to-face, telephone and virtual appointments every Monday during term time.

It provides free legal advice across a range of specialisms, including landlord and tenant disputes, small claims, family law, wills and probate.

The clinic is run by third year and postgraduate Law students, who provide legal advice under the supervision of a qualified solicitor who is an expert in their field.

"It is difficult for many people to access free, high quality legal advice," said Sadie Whittam, Law Clinic Director.

“We are very proud that since 2019 our Law Clinic students and supervisors have helped more than 300 clients and provided more than £400,000 of free legal advice."

If you have a legal query and you would like free legal advice, supervised by a qualified solicitor, please email lawclinic@lancaster.ac.uk
